What i think this quote means in my own words is that he wasn't trying to do it for the fame or anything big he was just trying to do what was right and coach the team. Like even receiving an award shooketh him. Or just like coach the team like any other coach would but he would believe in his team like so much that they loved and they were just one whole big family and as you can see in the image above one of his team mates i would say is even showing affection towards his coach. I believe when he started coaching them he didn't think he would be as successful at the time or like leave a legacy. But i in conclusion this is all i think about this quote?
